Sir Archibald McIndoe CBE FRCS (4 May 1900 — 11 April 1960) was a pioneering New Zealand plastic surgeon who worked for the Royal Air Force during World War II. He greatly improved the treatment and rehabilitation of badly burned aircrew.

Position of the HKSPRAS towards the recent incident of 4 women falling ill after receiving intravascular infusion therapy arranged by a “Beauty Group”


The HKSPRAS expresses deep concern for the insufficient regulation of the practice of cosmetic medicine by doctors who have not received properly recognised relevant training and by commercial enterprises offering medical treatment under the disguise of cosmetic medicine. Statutory regulation of the practice of cosmetic medicine is long awaited in Hong Kong and should be implemented as soon as possible in the interests of the public.

香港整形及整容外科醫學會深切關注未有接授有關認可專科訓練的醫生作醫學美容治療及商業團體以醫學美容為名實在提供醫學治療。本會認為現時對有關醫學美容的監管不足,立法管制急不容緩,以保公眾利益。
