Aulus Cornelius Celsus (ca 25 BC—ca 50), who lived in the first century AD, described plastic surgery of the face, using skin from other parts of the body.




Sir Archibald McIndoe CBE FRCS (4 May 1900 — 11 April 1960) was a pioneering New Zealand plastic surgeon who worked for the Royal Air Force during World War II. He greatly improved the treatment and rehabilitation of badly burned aircrew.


HA Commissioned Training 20-21 Feb 2014 and Mini-symposium 22 Feb 2014

The HA Central Commissioned Training Program 2013/2014 – “Breast and Facial, Head & Neck Reconstruction” will be held on 20-21 Feb 2014 (Thu & Fri) in UGLT1, New Clinical Building, Queen Mary Hospital. Prof. Julian J. Pribaz, the Associate Chief of the Department of Plastic Surgery, Harvard Medical School, will be our overseas speaker.
The event will be followed by a mini-symposium organized by the Hong Kong Society of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons on the 22 Feb 2014 at The Aberdeen Marina Club President’s Room.
